Conservation Back Home...

From the Hartford Courant (Peter Marteka)...on conversation of the Salmon River

"Another is conserving forested areas along streams to protect water quality by trapping sediment and pollutants. Other strategies include improving town maintenance practices from cleaning storm drains to sanding and salting roads, preserving and linking open space and better management of storm water runoff."
